Total 68,925 insured persons have opted for some other fund during the last year
Insured persons having changed their interest in a fund and having transferred amounts from their individual accounts number 68,925, as 4,794 of them have changed their interest due to
administrative coercive measures imposed in the last year. The percentage of the persons that changed their interest over the period against the average number of insured in universal pension funds
is 2.83%, in professional pension funds – 0.80% and in voluntary pension funds – 0.39%. Universal pension funds register the most sizeable rise in insured person in one and the same fund – by 6,713
and the most marked decrease – by 5,638.
Total amount of capital transferred from one fund to another relevant fund add up to BGN 25,668 thousand, i.e. BGN 10,925 – in universal pension funds, BGN 12,100 thousand in professional pension
funds and BGN 2,643 thousand in voluntary pension funds. Percentage of transferred capital against the average value of the net assets of universal pension funds is 3.11%, of professional pension
funds – 5.33% and of voluntary pension funds – 0.71%.
Compared with 2004 the number of persons that have changed their interest went down by 28,150 or by 29%. The value of capital transferred decreased by BGN 13,769 thousand or by
34.91%.
The statistics provided by the Financial Supervision Commission show that in the forth quarter of the year total 12,842 insured persons changed their interest in supplementary insurance funds, thus
registering a rise by 130.6% (or by 7,273 persons) compared with the third quarter of the year when these numbers had considerably fallen due to the notary certification required for the documents
for change of interest and transfer of means.
Insured persons that changed their interest in universal pension funds reached over the relevant period 11,332, while those that changed their interest in professional pension funds number 1,226.
The less contracts and supplementary agreements for transfer of means were concluded by voluntary pension funds, i.e. 284. The percentage of insured that changed their interest against the average
number of insured in universal pension funds is 0.51%, against insured in professional pension funds – 0.68% and against those in voluntary pension funds – 0.05.
The total amount of financial means transferred in the forth quarter of the last year adds up to BGN 5,075 thousand, the percentage of universal pension funds, professional pension funds and
voluntary pension funds being correspondingly BGN 2,270 thousand, BGN 2,232 thousand and 573 thousand. The total amount has gone up by 130.37% (or BGN 2,872 thousand) compared with the third
quarter of 2005. The percentage of transferred capital against the average value of net assets of universal pension funds is 0.54%, against that of professional pension funds – 0.9% and of
voluntary pension funds – 0.14%. The average value of transferred capital per insured person that had changed their interest in the forth quarter of the year amounted to BGN 395.20.
