Five people were nominated for contribution to the non-banking sector at the 10th jubilee competition ‘Mr./Mrs. Economy 2005’.
Prof. Milan Petrov, Executive director of Health Insurance Company ‘Nadezhda’ was nominated for his contribution to the popularization of the voluntary health insurance in Bulgaria, for founding of
Health Insurance Company ‘Nadezhda’ PLC and establishing it among the leading health insurance companies in the country.
Stefan Sofianski, Executive director of Insurance Company Lev Ins PLC was nominated due to the company going up from 20th to 5th place at the general insurance market and ranking among the first
three companies providing for motorcar insurance.
Among the nominated names is also that of Rumen Yanchev, chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive director with Bulsrad Insurance and Reinsurance PLC. He was also Executive director
of Europen Reinsuranse Brokres Ltd in London and is registered as licensed and competent broker at the insurance market in London. He has specialized with leading insurance companies in Europe, the
USA and Japan. In December 2004 he was awarded the prize of the ‘Prof. Velislav Gavriiski’ Foundation for outstanding contribution to the Bulgarian insurance business.
Nominations were also placed on Kamen Kolchev, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive director with Elana Holdings and Stoyan Toshev, Executive director with Managing Company TBI Asset
Management.
