The Commission on Protection of Competition gave its permission that 20% of the shares and some rights over Vitosha Insurance PLC be acquired by UNIQA International Beteiligungs-Verwaltungs GmbH.
The Commission allowed the acquisition because it is not expected to result in imposing or strengthening of any kind subordinate relationships. According to the preliminary inquiry, the acquirer has never before been occupied on the market concerned and the acquisition would not lead to consolidation of market shares. The total market share of the parts is actually the market share of the acquirer. Besides, when questioned, no one of the participants on the insurance market raised any objections against the planned transaction.
