94% of all transactions were viewed to develop the agriculture sector

Prices of arable grounds went up by 26% in the last year. Over the same period have been conducted transactions for 500,000 decares, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Svetla Bachvarova announced. Ms Bachvarova presented the traditional inquiry of the System of Agricultural Trade Information.

94% of all transactions in 2005 were viewed to develop the agriculture. Average price of the transactions was BGN 194 per decare, the most attractive areas being situated in the regiosn of Dobrich. The lowest prices are, again, registered in Northwest Bulgaria.

By the virtue of Bulgaria's forthcoming EU accession, purchasers forecast steady incomes and higher profitability of production, which encourages the purchase and merging of property, Svetla Bachvarova commented.
Deals viewing a change in the use of arable grounds were concluded at average prices of BGN28,000 per decare.
