A national Chart for Road Traffic Safety was signed in Sofia. The campaign is being organized by Bulstrad and is carried on under the slogan ‘Road Traffic Safety for Everyone’.
The Mayor of Sofia City, Boiko Borisov, was first to write his name on the instrument. The Chart has its grounds in the belief that no Bulgarian driver goes on the road with view to cause traffic accidents. Bulstrad’s initiative receives support from both popular celebrities and representatives of the local authorities by virtue of the positive appeal to the drivers that they should try to conduct themselves better on the road. The Chart consists of ten items, constituting the most important requirements towards drivers. The document was signed also by the coach of the men’s national volleyball team, Martin Stoev, by the Chairman of the Professional Football League, Valentin Mihov, by the secretary of the Commission on Road Traffic Safety, Alexi Kesjakov, and by the republican champion in Car Motoring Yasen Popov.
